Subscription rates
Subscription rates for Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts are £12.50 per month payable from 1 September to 31 August.
Subscriptions are not charged for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts where one or both of their parents are volunteering as section leaders or assistants.
We encourage all parents to pay subs by the Online Scout Manager system in association with GoCardless. This greatly simplifies administration for Parents, Leaders and our Group Treasurer. The system is fully secure as you do not provide any bank details to 2nd Clevedon Scout Group and your payments are fully protected by the Direct Debit guarantee. You should have received a link to set up the direct debit for your subs, but if you need your personal link to be resent, please e-mail treasurer@2ndclevedonscouts.org.uk.
If you prefer to pay by an alternative means, we still welcome payment by cash, cheque, internet bank transfer or standing order. The forms for the standing order can be found here: Standing Order Form
Gift Aid
We also encourage all parents to complete a Gift Aid declaration if they are taxpayers. This enables the Group to reclaim the tax you will have paid on your subscriptions: this is worth an extra 25p to the Group for every £1 you pay - at no cost to you. All we need is for you to complete the Gift Aid declaration as part of the Online Payments System, or complete this Gift Aid Declaration and hand it to your Leader, or simply scan it and e-mail it to treasurer@2ndclevedonscouts.org.uk.
Please note that to participate in the Gift Aid scheme you need to pay UK income tax or capital gains tax at least equal to the amount reclaimed on your subscriptions and other donations by all the charities you support in each tax year, otherwise you may be liable to repay any tax shortfall to HMRC. Please contact us if your tax circumstances change.
Easyfundraising
2nd Clevedon Scout Group also participates in the Easyfundraising scheme: this allows you to raise funds for the Group simply by clicking through from the Easyfundraising website to your favourite retailer when shopping online. The Group receives a small donation for every 'click through' and this can raise extra funds easily at no cost to you! It is especially worthwhile when making larger online purchases such as electrical goods etc, and most of the larger retailers are participating, e.g. Amazon, John Lewis etc. For further details please see our Easyfundraising page.
